The International A Cappella Competition, part of vokal.total.2010, will take place for the 10th time. Vocal ensembles from all over the world are invited to participate in this competition. Ensembles enrol on the competition, a final decision on participation will be made by the organising commitee.

The competition consists of four categories:

• A Capella Jazz Ensemble
• A Cappella Pop Ensemble
• A Cappella Comedy Ensemble in German and/or English language
• Classical Vocal Ensemble

These four categories will be completed for the first time by a

• Beatboxing Battle

for beatboxers from all over the world. This new contest will not be publicly advertised, participants will receive an invitation from the organisers.

The first three prize winners in each category will be awarded the Ward Swingle Award (1^st - 3^rd prize). Prize money for every 1^st prize is 1,500 Euros. Additionally all participating ensembles will receive a diploma in gold, silver or bronze, according to their performances.

The contest itself is open to the public and takes place from 26 to 28 July 2010 in the Dom im Berg. On 29 July the winners will present themselves at the winners concert.
