Participants are judged on the following:

Technical performance
Rhythm, intonation, phrasing, articulation

Artistic performance
Style, sound, dynamics, time, interpretation, arrangements
The performance of participants is judged with a points system ranging from 0 (for participation) up to 100 (outstanding performance). The jury reserves the right to award one prize to two (or more) groups and also not to assign prizes.
The Ward Swingle Awards
The winners in each category receive the gold Ward Swingle Award and prize money of €1,500; second place winners receive the silver Ward Swingle Award and third place winners win the bronze.

The jury reserves the right to award these and additional special prices.
Workshop
We offer each group a short workshop for feedback with one of the jury members on Thursday, 30 July. This optional workshop is free of charge.
